Healthy Active Lifestyles Toowoomba Incorporated (HALT), is an independent group of local people who organise the annual Peak2Park event to encourage our community to participate in exercise and to raise funds for local charities.

The HALT committee was formed in 2005, and had a goal to provide an avenue for our community to become involved in an event which highlighted the need to exercise in order to improve the health and wellbeing of Toowoomba families. The HALT committee were concerned at the time about reports highlighting the obesity epidemic sweeping the nation, particularly as obesity affects so many children.

Peak2Park has the support of the local Toowoomba Police and SES, who line the routes and monitor the event from start to finish. St Johns ambulance is on hand to provide first aid support.
