Two local women's service clubs, Quota International and Soroptimist International, are organising a seminar on Legal Issues for women over 50. Topics will include: Family Law and Identity change following separation or divorce; Structuring and Life Planning Issues including intergenerational issues of shared business assets, retirement homes, ownership of granny flats; Estate Planning including will, powers of attorney, family trusts,executor's roles and responsibilities; elder Abuse including whistleblowing, Adult Guardian, Carer's Rights; Legal Aid, eligibility, costs, types.
Speakers will be: a team from Briese Lawyers; Catherine Cheek, President D&SW Law Assn; Darren Lewis, solicitor Legal Aid.
Morning tea will be provided.
