Find out the science behind your indulgences: beer, wine and chocolate! Listen to experts, sip on beer from Granite Belt Brewery and chill out to live music by local artist Linda Capewell.

Go on the flavour science journey around the beautifully restored heritage carriages, buggies, wagons, and see what’s being worked on in the Museum’s National Carriage Factory.

Who you’ll see:

• Matt Kirkegaard shares the amazing science, the ingredients and the often ignored story behind great beer. 
• Ursula Kennedy, wine scientist from the University of Southern Queensland, will present some of the intriguing, weird and wonderful facts and myths from the world of wine.
• Jason O’Connor of Seatonfire Chilli Chocolate, matches beer from Granite Belt Brewery and chocolate for a taste sensation you never imagined. 
• Dr Joel Gilmore discusses and demonstrates the methods of some key kitchen science and creates some novel dishes.
• Professor Lindsay Brown talks purple super foods and how they can reverse health issues, as seen on Landline and Catalyst.
• Street Science Steve brings the ‘wow’ with his demonstrations and makes you wish you had him as your high school science teacher.
