The Magnigicence are an almost traditional jazz band based in the Northern Rivers of NSW. The band has been described

as enthusiastic,passionate,humorous and quirky leaving audiences happily uplifted.

All members of the band play a variety of styles of music but are bought together by their love of all things New Orleans. Their music is rooted in the early jazztradition but reflects the musical influences of each band member. Brothers Cameron (trumpet/vocals) and 

Lachi Smith (drums) having been making music together for over 30 years with Paul Edwards( tenor sax) for 20 years. 

They formed there 1st band,Stop Thinkin in the early 2000,s and performed  regulary at the Toowoomba Jazz Club. The three formed The Magnificence in 2017 when Cam moved to the Northern Rivers. For this night at TJS they are joined by Mark Chalmers on Banjo and Julian Smith on Double Bass.Since coming together, The Magnificence have played at festivals and jazz clubs from Canberra to Far North Qld and in August 2020  will be heading to Europe for festival appearances in Denmark, Sweden and Edinburgh. This will be  a fabulous evening - bring your dance shoes!!

Admission is $20 for visitors and $15 for members.

Refreshments are provided and there is a raffle and a lucky door prize. Please note that meals are not served at the bowls club.
