The memorial services are to commemorate the 78th Anniversary of the service of the 25th Battalion (The Darling Downs Regiment) during the Battle of Milne Bay during World War II in New Guinea in August - September 1942.

The commemorative activities commence with a Service of Commemoration at St James Anglican Church, Mort Street at 7.30 am on 23 August 2020 and is followed by a Ceremony of Remembrance at the 25th Battalion Monument in the Mother's Memorial Park, Margaret Street Toowoomba at 11am on 23 August 2020.

Due to COVID-19 requirements, seating in the church is controlled and prior booking is required.
