Harmony Day is intended to celebrate the cohesive and inclusive nature of Australia and promote a tolerant and culturally diverse society. Initially celebrated in 1999, Harmony Day coincides with the UN's International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination. The overall aim of this community activity is to foster trust within our local Toowoomba community. 

This event will provides an entertaining, drug and alcohol-free family day out; provides opportunities to try new foods and activities; creates a sense of belonging to a diverse and interesting community; and gives our community a chance to showcase their cultural, culinary and linguistic heritage. This year, we will also have an Arabic and AUSLAN interpreter.
