To focus on the positives of living, working and investing in Oakey, and to bring the Oakey community together, the Oakey Chamber of Commerce, supported by many other community organisations and businesses, is coordinating a full day of community celebrations on Saturday 9th December 2017.
The day will begin with the Oakey Lions Christmas Markets at the Oakey Railway Station, followed by the opening of the Oakey Railway Station as a Visitor Information centre, then a Street Parade of floats and walking groups representing local business, industry and community groups. The event will continue with a family carnival at the Oakey Soccer grounds, including a Concert, Community Carols and fireworks.
Program for the Day
- 8 am to 1 pm - Oakey Lions Markets – Oakey Railway Carpark
- 2:00 pm - Official opening of ‘4401 Info’ Visitor information Centre - Oakey Railway Station
- 2:30 pm to 3:30 pm – Oakey Together Street Parade.
- 3:30 pm to 9:30 pm - Oakey Santa Fair - Oakey Soccer Fields.
