Me, Myselfie and I is a Queensland Art Gallery | Gallery of Modern Art (QAGOMA) touring program of exciting, free, hands-on activities encouraging children to explore ideas around self and identity.

QAGOMA Director Chris Saines CNZM said the program encourages children of all ages to explore ideas beyond their physical appearance and to think about how they express their emotions, personality, memories and experiences through images, sound, spoken word and movement.

The activities have been developed by QAGOMA in collaboration with Australian and international artists featured in QAGOMA’s Collection, including Angela Tiatia (New Zealand/Australia). Tiatia’s activity encourages children to observe and depict the transformation of their face in a series of patterned mirrors that distort their reflection. The other collaborators include Wit Pimkanchanapong (Thailand), Ayaz Jokhio (Pakistan), Miloš Tomic (Serbia) and Phil Dadson (New Zealand), whose activities feature composite portraits, assorted outfit transformations and sound.

Kids on Tour is offered as a free program to regional Queensland communities through the Gallery’s Regional Services department. This project is supported by Gina Fairfax through the Queensland Art Gallery | Gallery of Modern Art Foundation, and is presented in association with the exhibition 'Me, Myselfie and I'  at the Gallery of Modern Art, Brisbane.
