Energy Disruption and ‘Energy from Waste’ will be highlighted at this month’s Enterprise Evening.

Held in Toowoomba, we will hear from speakers from leading private developers and local government on the topic of opportunities and benefits around the way we source power in the region.

As examples of the appetite for innovation and diversity of this region, the initiatives highlight energy disruption and the beneficial use of renewable energy or of energy produced from waste. Hear about microgrid solar-gas power production, residential waste and waste tyre to power production. These projects in development are truly unique in their own right.

The Toowoomba Regional Council has significant investment in waste management facilities and like other forward-thinking local governments, identifies the possible opportunity for its own small-scale power production to offset some of its own use.

The developers of the Toowoomba Technology Park, FKG Group, see their offering of reduced energy cost to businesses as a competitive advantage to stimulate further investment and growth within the region.

On the night we will be hearing from Toowoomba Regional Council Waste Manager, Troy UrenFKG Group Development Manager, Dallas Hunter and Green Distillation Technologies (GDT) Chief Operating Officer, Trevor Bayley.
