Come along for Planting Day for the creation of the first microforest in S.E. Queenland. We will be planting 600 trees, shrubs, vines, creepers and grasses which are all native to Hancock St Park in Rangeville. This park is an endangered ecosytem. Our microforest will enlarge this natural area which we want to preserve and also provide carbon storage to reduce climate change. This event is being hosted by volunteers from Friends of Escarpment Parks Toowoomba, with the support of a Climate Action Grant from the Qld State Governemnt and an Environment Grant from Toowoomba Regional Council.

We will be planting, watering, plant guarding and mulching. We invite you to share in protecting and restoring our natural environment. All welcome. No prior experience needed. All tools will be supplied.

Planting will take place at the Pelican Drive end of Hancock St Park.
