Observe techniques and tools of the trade in action as Kathryn Wardill, Catherine Large, and Jill Kinnear discuss layered processes, resulting in sculptural and tactile outcomes in glass, enamel, and fabric.

Kathryn Wardill is a contemporary glass artist and jeweller who received her Master of Arts, in Fine Art by research from RMIT University. Wardill has actively participated in group and solo exhibitions internationally for over 30 years. Wardill is dedicated to researching jewellery objects combining glass and metal.

Catherine Large is a contemporary jeweller and metalsmith based in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. She has a Masters of Visual Art and has taught in Jewellery and Small Objects QCA, Griffith University and is currently a tutor at the Brisbane Institute of Art. Large draws on her experiences of travel and the nature of ‘stuff’ to inform her work in jewellery, objects and flatware.

Born in Scotland, Jill Kinnear received her textile degree from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art, Dundee. Following a three-year teaching contract in Papua New Guinea at the National Art School, she emigrated to Australia where she received both a Masters of Visual Art and PhD from the University of Southern Queensland.
