The inspiration for the formation of "Paul Hendon's Goodman Quintet" in 2003
came from the small group recordings of the famous "King of Swing", Benny
Goodman.

This style of jazz is melodic, rhythmic, and as inspiring today as it was in
the 1930s and 1940s when it evolved.

The band's interpretation of many original arrangements is guaranteed to get
your toes tapping, whether you're a jazz aficionado or you simply like good
music!

The band is comprised of some of South East Queensland's finest musicians in
this idiom:

Paul Hendon (clarinet and saxes)
Jo Bloomfield (piano)
Marsh Robinson (double bass)
Dave McCallum (drums)
Dave Burrows (guitar)

Admission is $20 for visitors and $15 for members. Meals are available from 6:00 to 7:15pm and the gig begins at 7:45pm.
