CycleFest Toowoomba brings together a range of cycling events and activities that will ensure the cycling spotlight is focussed on the Toowoomba Region throughout May 2015. From charity cycling challenges to BMX and Mountain Biking events through to the 2015 FKG Tour of Toowoomba there will be something for all to enjoy. CycleFest Toowoomba 2015 will be brought to a close on the 24th of May with the New Hope Group Day in the Park. This free community festival will be held in Toowoomba’s beautiful Queens Park with a range of family focussed entertainment, activities, food and wine in the lead up to the exciting final stage of the FKG Tour of Toowoomba and the celebration that will follow.
All roads and cycle paths will lead to Toowoomba for CycleFest 2015.

15 May MTB "What Rocks" Enduro race. Competitive stages of mountain bike racing in Toowoomba's Jubilie Mountain Bike Park. Entry is available online from the Toowoomba Mountain Bike Club website below.

16 May MTB Nomad Sunshine Series XCO race - in the Olympic Cross Country (XCO) format. Toowoomba's Jubilie Mountain Bike Park. Entry is available online from the Toowoomba Mountain Bike Club website below.

22 May BMX club night. Registration from 6:15pm, racing from 7pm at Captain Cook Reserve, Wilsonton, Toowoomba.

21 - 24 May FKG Tour of Toowoomba - Subaru National Road Series. This is a 5 stage road cycling race considered to be the best semi-professional team competition in Australia. It is held on the country roads around Toowoomba and concludes with a street criterium around Queens Park, Toowoomba.

- Thu 21 May Stage 1 153Km road race - 10am start at Nobby, approx finish time of 2.30pm at Highfields Shopping Centre.
- Fri 22 May Stage 2 Individual time trail - 9am start at Arthur St Helidon.
- Fri 22 May Stage 3 167km road race - 12.30 start at Arthur St, Helidon.
- Sat 23 May Stage 4 141km road race - 11am start at Hodsonvale, approx finish at 3.50pm at Hodsonvale.
- Sun 24 May Stage 5 50Km criterium - 1pm start at Lindsay St, Queens Park, Toowoomba. Approx finish at 2pm.
24 May A day in the park - brought to you by the New Hope Group in support of St Vincent’s Private Hospital. free Bananas in Pyjamas shows, reptile shows, rides, face painting, fun competitions, School band entertainment, delicious food and wine stalls and cycling action of the Tour of Toowoomba on the big screen. Located in Queens Park, Toowoomba.

24 May Duathlon - Coordinated by the Toowoomba Triathlon Club, this running and cycling event will be centred on Queens Park Toowoomba.

24 May Range CX Cyclocross - an exibition race, Queens Park. Cyclocross is a type of bike racing. The course is can include pavement, grass, dirt, mud, gravel, sand, and more. Public entries into the race are welcome with registration on the day.

24 May Community ride challenge. A fun group ride that includes 4 laps around Queens Park to assist fundraising for St Vincent’s Private Hospital. Includes lucky rider and best decorated cash prizes.

Social rides
Highfields Rollers social rides depart from the Campfire Cafe in the Abby Lane cetnre on the New England Highway (near the corner of Highfields Rd) at Highfields. Various ride options are available. For more information check out highfieldsrollers.com .
Group 1 - Starts 7.00am Saturdays. For those new to cycling and those who enjoy a casual ride. Average speed < 20 km/hr over distances usually from 25 km and up to about 30 km for longer rides.Group 2 – Starts 6.45am Saturdays. For those with some experience cycling and an good level of fitness. Average speed < 23 km/hr over distances up to about 40 km.
Group 3 - Starts 6.30am Saturdays. For the more experienced cyclist who has established a level of fitness. Average speed < 26 km/hr over distances up to about 40 km – 60 km.
Group 4 - Starts 6.15am Saturdays. For the experienced cyclist only who has an established advanced level of fitness. Average speed > 26 km/hr over distances 60 km and above.
Bikeline racing social rides are available on a few days. For more info check out bikelineracing.org/club-rides .
(Modified) Red Hill loop - starts 5:05am Tuesdays. 50km distance. Fast ride. Starts at the North Toowoomba 7-11 near Bridge St. Due to roadworks the route includes Highfields, Meringandan & Gowrie Junction.
Recovery loop that passes Hodsonvale, Wyrema & Westbrook - starts 5:05am Fridays. 50km distance. Recovery ride! Starts at intersection of Ruthven & Nelson St on NE corner by the park.
Saturday Shop Ride - starts 6.30am. 35km distance. Easy, until we reach the Uni. Starts at Bikeline on Railway St for a loop of Prince Henry Heights then over to the Uni for two laps then back to the CBD.
