Celebrate International Peace Day (September 21st) by coming along to Toowoomba's involvement in the BIGGEST SING EVER with over 70 other countries participating!
"Singing together has long been a positive part of holding communities together and uniting them in a social healing way. Science has shown that when we sing together our hearts begin to beat in the same tempo and that our health and mental well-being improve. It has even been known to bring conflicts between nations to an end."
Toowoomba's two choirs will celebrate this event on Sunday 20th September (the day before Peace Day - coinciding with our Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers), at 2pm near the cannon in Queens Park gardens. How fitting that a symbol of war should be the meeting point for a plea for peace.
