Your support will give the gift of sound to children with hearing loss…just like Max! Toowoomba boy, Max, was born in 2014, and at four months of age was diagnosed with hearing loss in his right ear as a result of Pneumococcal Meningitis. He was two years old when he received a cochlear implant. Before Max’s cochlear implant switch on it was really difficult to understand what he was saying, but, thanks to the gift of sound, Max is now a happy little boy who loves reading books.

Thanks to Hear and Say’s Early Intervention Program, Max’s sound development has continued to progress and, remarkably, is at the expected level for his age – a tremendous outcome made possible by the generosity of Hear and Say supporters!
