APT9 Kids on Tour is a free program facilitated in regional Queensland and the Torres Strait by The Queensland Art Gallery | Gallery of Modern Art (QAGOMA). The program will run concurrently with QAGOMA’s exhibition The 9th Asia Pacific Triennial of Contemporary Art (APT9) and APT9 Kids from January to April 2019.

APT9 Kids on Tour includes activities developed by the Children’s Art Centre in collaboration with artists Pauline Kimei Anis (Bougainville), Sadik Kwaish Alfraji (Iraq/The Netherlands), Gary Carsley (Australia/The Netherlands), Nona Garcia (The Philippines), Vincent Namatjira (Australia) and Jakkai Siributr (Thailand).

These activities are specially designed for children and families, enabling Queensland communities to enjoy key elements of the original exhibition at their local venue.

Young visitors are invited to explore and experience diverse contemporary art styles and approaches from Australia, Asia and the Pacific. The children's program highlights key themes from APT9, including the preciousness of life and natural resources, the importance of community and storytelling.

Toowoomba Regional Art Gallery invites you to enjoy the free, self-guided activities from Saturday 2 February until Sunday 17 February 2019 during the Gallery's open hours. School-aged children are encouraged to enjoy the activities over the weekends whilst schools and kindergartens are encouraged to visit the Gallery during school hours.
