ASIST - Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training - is coming to Toowoomba on May 19 and 20. It is being held at Depression Support Network Toowoomba opposite Centrelink.
Places are $300 each, limited to 25. But there must be 15 confirmed places for the training to go ahead.
In ASIST, people learn to apply a suicide intervention model. It helps caregivers recognise when someone may be at risk of suicide. It then explores how to connect with them in ways that understand and clarify that risk, increase their immediate safety and link them with further help.
Together we can learn how to help save a life.

We are right opposite Centrelink. We have limited parking but people can park at either council carpark in Neil Street.
