A technical and interactive workshop on how to protect your voice when using it every day.

Work with Bernadette Meenach, USQ Lecturer in Voice, in an intensive one-day workshop to acquire the skills to protect your voice. This workshop is ideal for people across all professions from teachers to telephonists that can’t afford to have their voice fail them.

Sessions will be held on:
– voices from Heaven and Hell
– vocal hygiene practices
– posture
– breathing
– resonance and range
– articulation and pronunciation
– delivering your message

Bernadette Meenach is a graduate of NIDA (Grad Dip Voice Studies) and QUT (MA Research). Bernadette has appeared in productions for companies including La Boite, New England Theatre Company, Chris Canute Productions, Qld Arts Council, Imaginary Theatre and the ABC. Bernadette has directed productions for JCU, QUT, USQ and Actors for Refugees. As an acting and vocal coach Bernadette has worked for QUT, JCU, Australian Ballet School, NIDA Open Program, Qld Actors’ Playhouse and QTC. Bernadette has presented papers at national and international voice conferences. Bernadette is a lecturer for the USQ School of Arts & Communication and is currently completing her PhD. Bernadette has recently completed a tour of her original play Judy Strikes Back.
