Join us as we welcome brain cancer survivor Jennifer Parry to Toowoomba

We invite the Toowoomba community to join Clive Berghofer and staff from QIMR Berghofer Medical Research Institute to welcome brain cancer survivor Jennifer Parry as she completes an astounding 385km solo hike from Mount Perry to Toowoomba.

In 2005, Jennifer was diagnosed with the common brain cancer Glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) and given between 3 and 12 months to live. Having defied the odds, Jennifer is taking on this amazing challenge to increase awareness about GBM and to raise essential funds for brain cancer research at QIMR Berghofer in Brisbane.

Jennifer will be completing her quest at the following location:

Cafe Valetta, 96 Margaret Street, Toowoomba QLD 4350

Date: Wednesday 14 September

Time: 12pm for an approx arrival time by Jennifer at 12.30pm

Refreshments will be available for purchase from the cafe as per the cafes regular service.
