Toowoomba's Empire Theatre - Armitage Centre will play host to the women of Yorkshire from June (9-12) when Shoebox Theatre Company brings the hilarious and poignant play Calendar Girls to town.
Based on the highly successful film of the same name.
Calendar Girls tell the real life story of best friends Annie and Chris who, along with members of their local Women's Institute branch, pose nude for a calendar to raise money for the local hospital. Featuring an ALL LOCAL cast and creative team Calendar Girls is sure to delight audiences of all ages.
Inspired by the wonderful work of Chris and Annie. Shoebox Theatre Company have partnered with the Toowoomba Hospital Foundation, with all proceeds from the opening night performance being donated to the Darling Downs Oncology Unit. To help continue the wonderful and important work undertaken in the region.
