Millmerran Bush Christmas in July 2022 being held on Sunday 24th July, at the Millmerran Showgrounds.  This event has been planned to carry over from the Millmerran Christmas in the Bush 2021 event which had to be POSTPONED in December, 21 due to the significant flooding of all access highways into Millmerran and the saturation of the Showgrounds due to heavy rainfall in the week prior to the event.  After much discussion with our organisation members the event date in July was chosen and with the influence of the event being held during the WINTER months the format for the event was changed to a Sunday afternoon event operating from 1pm to 6pm.  With sunset being much earlier in winter the planned FIREWORKS display can now be held at around 5.30pm and SANTA is still planned to make a mid year visit to the event at around 4.15pm.  Community and membership have expressed excitement for the new time and date of the event now being a Christmas in July and we are all hoping that the weather provides the event with a fine, sunny winter's afternoon.  Great event for families, elderly and the younger generation with heaps of RIDES and ENTERTAINMENT to keep them busy all for FREE.  Entry to the event is by small Gold Coin for everyone over school age.  Community groups are providing the food and drink stalls and local musicians, schools and dance group have been invited to perform along with Band Minor Complication who will Rock their Soxs Off with their rendetition of songs that have stood the test of time. This event is organised and partially funded by Millmerran Commerce & Progress Inc. and significantly supported by other local business sponsors and Toowoomba Regional Council's Event Core Support program.  MARK IT ON YOUR CALENDAR TO ATTEND Sunday 24th July, 2022 at Millmerran Showgrounds, Millmerran Cecil Plains Road, Millmerran Gates open at 12.45pm.  A Wheel Barrow filled with garden goodies will be raffled at the event  and the Final Prize Draw of a Millmerran Shopping Voucher valued at $500.00, will be drawn from entries lodged in the  Millmerran Shop Local Promotion which is running from 27th June, to 24th July, 2022 at participating businesses in Millmerran.
