About this AUSLAN course

AUSLAN (Australian Sign Language) was developed in Australia by people who are deaf to enable them to communicate with others. The course provides an introduction to AUSLAN, through which participants will learn basic conversational skills in sign language, as well as cultural values within the deaf community. The course runs over 4 weeks for 2 hours per week with handouts provided.

Age: 12–25 years only
Eligibility: Must live, work or study in the Toowoomba Region
Venue: Community Rooms, Level 3, Toowoomba City Library
Cost: Free

You may register for one of two available courses:

OPTION #1 – TUESDAY NIGHTS

Dates: 28 June, 5 July, 12 July, 19 July
Time: 
5.30pm – 7.30pm

OPTION #2 – WEDNESDAY NIGHTS

Dates: 27 July, 3 August, 10 August, 17 August
Time: 
5.30pm – 7.30pm
