New trees will be planted out across three Toowoomba Region parks on Saturday 3 September, as part of an initiative to increase the region’s urban forest population. This event is in partnership between Toowoomba Regional Council and Planet Ark’s National Tree Day, with Council holding this event later in the year to avoid frost damage to newly planted trees.
Locations:
- Nelder Park: Sunset Drive, Glenvale
- Rody Burke Road Park: Rody Burke Road, Gowrie Junction
- Glen Lomond Park: Dippel Street / McStay Street, Middle Ridge
Participants will need to bring their own gloves, trowels and drinking water with them on the day.
The wearing of enclosed shoes, a long-sleeved shirt, long pants, a broad-brimmed hat and sunscreen is highly recommended.
