The word Masarap means ‘Delicious’ in the Filipino language. Join Filipino Australian artist Ben Tupas on Friday 13 January 2023 from 10:30am – 12:30pm.

The workshop explores storytelling through food. Workshop participants will explore the ingredients relating to the famous Filipino dish Chicken Adobo and hear the personal story behind Ben’s artwork Masarap 2022. Participants will then make art inspired by their family recipes, record their story or create a digital photographic work that incorporates the story behind the food. At the conclusion of the workshop, participants will get a chance to sample Chicken Adobo from a local restaurant. Masarap!

This workshop is for young people ages 9 – 12.
