Toowoomba's Festival of Audacious Ideas is a journey in discovery of your inner Entrepreneur. Whether you are employed, a business owner, stay at home parent, student or retiree, the Festival of Audacious Ideas is designed for you.

The Festival commences with Future You, Future Us, an evening of Inspiring Talks. We have gathered a group of quality speakers from a mixed demographic who will share with us their thoughts, visions and beliefs on what future opportunities are instore for residents of the Toowoomba region, the Darling Downs and beyond.

Our speakers will talk about innovation and research, on infrastructure and sustainability. They will explore what massive opportunity awaits us and even what is beyond that. As a naturally entrepreneurial population, what bold, gutsy, innovative and audacious ideas will you discover listening to our futurists discuss our region?

Startup Toowoomba and Canvas Coworking are hosting some workshops on Lean Startup, Design Thinking and Perfect your Pitch. These workshops are design to empower you and help you create awesome outcomes. They introduce you to some valuable entrepreneurial skills and are an excellent preparation for the Startup Weekend 'Audacious Ideas'. Startup Weekend - Startup Weekend is an experience! Challenging, thought provoking, empowering and educational. Experience what it's like to be an entrepreneur. Join in, pitch an idea, form teams, validate and execute your new business idea and Startup. Teams form organically around the most popular ideas that are pitched by participants on the Friday night.

In just 54 hours, you will experience the highs, lows, fun, and pressure that make up life as a Startup. As you learn how to create a Startup company, you'll meet the very best mentors, cofounders, investors and sponsors who are ready to help you get started. Your Startup Toowoomba community is here to help you experience Startup Weekend.

At Startup Weekend you are well looked after. Dinner and Drinks Friday night, breakfast, lunch and dinner Saturday & Sunday. An experienced facilitator guides the activity across the weekend and skilled coaches and mentors help teams develop and validate their ideas. By 4pm Sunday your team will have produced a presentation for the judges on your audacious idea.
