The annual Charles and Motee Rogers Memorial Piano Competition, for young pianists aged 21 years and under, is sponsored by the Toowoomba and District Music Teachers' Association of Qld. It was established in 1983 in honour of prominent local musical couple Charles and Motee Rogers, who were always generous supporters of young musicians. This year's competition features Junior and Senior sections in both Traditional styles and also Contemporary Commercial styles. The adjudicator is well-known pianist and pedagogue Alison Riethmuller. The competition will be a wonderful morning of piano music and you are invited to come and listen and support these young pianists.
