Women Only Gravity Enduro (GE) style event held by “Dirt Angels”- Toowoomba Women’s Mountain Biking in conjunction with Toowoomba Mountain Bike Club -TMBC The 2017 inaugural Fox on Rocks Funduro attracted 74 women riders……allegedly the 2nd biggest women’s only Gravity Enduro in the world. Lets make 2018 a record breaker!
The aim is to provide a relaxed, fun entry into the discipline of Gravity Enduro. Most MTB riders like going down hill, fast. Women included. Many MTB riders hate racing up hill. This is where Gravity Enduro comes in!! However GE format is dominated by male rider entries and this may be because of the misconception it is a Down Hill race. By introducing more women to the non pressured riding style of GE over a easy to moderate course, more might become interested in participating in the discipline.
