Celebrating the Big Cow at Highfields Pioneer Village from 17 to 26 September 2021. Recognising the history of the dairy industry in Australia and all things cow!The theme of the festival is ‘All things Cow'. Come and experience dairying life in the Australian Pioneer days! Milk a cow, churn some butter and enjoy some ice-cream. The Big Cow was sculpted by Hugh Anderson in the 1970's and is seven times the size of an Ayrshire cow on which it is modeled and was mooved from Nambour to Highfields Pioneer Village in 2020. Walk inside and see the Dairy Museum, don't miss the Flowers on Cows Parade and baby animals in the nursery. There will be live music and great food. You might even encounter the infamous Ned Kelly hanging out at the Bushranger Cafe!
