Art Exhibition - Between the Black & White by Febe Zylstra

"Between the Black & White" is a solo exhibition of recent work by Brisbane based artist Febe Zylstra. Life is never just ‘Black and White’ it’s everything in-between, shades of grey and so much colour! Right vs Wrong! Good vs Bad! Positive vs Negative! Life isn’t about knowing all the answers, Black or white is an easy label but living life in the grey areas pushes you further, there is much more to explore in the realm of uncertainty!
 
With a strong colour palette or just pops of colour and the distinct use of Black and White (often decorative) Febe Zylstra’s body of work for this exhibition is emotive and intuitive that delivers a message whilst the use of symbolic references help create a narrative or meaning behind each piece, whether it be in the figurative, still life, abstract or landscape!
