Busking in Millmerran

Busking in Millmerran is a biennial event, which is held in conjunction with the Australian Camp Oven Festival (ACOF).  During the week prior to the ACOF weekend festival. Organisations around Millmerran put on numerous activities and events for the entertainment of the visitors to Millmerran.  Buskers from any part of Australia that may be visiting the festival are welcome to apply as are local community and buskers from other parts of the Toowoomba region.  The busking competition runs from 9.30 to 11.30 am on Friday 4th October and the winner and runner up will be provided with cash prizes.  Those who attend are also rewarded for lodging a voting form with 3 voters fuel cards up for grabs.  The winner of the Busking comp is also given stage time at the ACOF festival on the Saturday. 

After the busking is over, attendees are encouraged to stay in the Millmerran shopping precinct and have some lunch and listen to music in Domville Place from 11.30 to 3pm which this year will be provided by Eithan Biefeld Trio.

These two activities are promoted by Millmerran Commerce & Progress Inc. for the enjoyment of the visitors to Millmerran and the local community.

A Courtesy Bus from the ACOF camping grounds at the Millmerran Showgrounds is also provided to allow visitors ease of travel from their campsites to several locations around Millmerran, during the week prior to ACOF festival and during the festival, which also allows locals to transfer to and from the showgrounds by the FREE courtesy bus.
