Create hot glass objects, learn how to create small one-off glass objects, formed over a torch. Starting from the basics of hot glass forming, the tutor thoroughly explains all aspects of the processes for using different types of glass for blowing, shaping, and forming techniques, the use of metals, cold working, finishing, and understanding safety and equipment. The five days are structured with a balance between demonstrations and students creating hot glass objects. No experience is necessary, you will need good eyesight and the steady use of both hands. The scale of the objects will be approx. 5 x 5 x 5 cm or smaller. Upon completion, students will have the flame work glass skills to continue to create hot glass objects.
