Response to the Bunyas is the first touring exhibition from the inaugural Arts on Top: Regional Arts Forum by the Western Downs Regional Council. The Bunya Mountains, Booburrgan Ngmmunge, - the traditional lands of the Wakka Wakka, Jaowair, Djakunde and Barrungam Nations - is a vital and grounding place that attracts and connects, drawing on rich traditions of bringing people together from near and far. The exhibition features the unique environment of the Bunya Mountains as experienced by 24 regional artists including Indigenous artists and artists who live on or take inspiration from the mountain. The artworks on display explore the depth and beauty of the landscape through a variety of media, including painting, sculpture, photography and textiles.
Exhibition on display 29 June - 24 July 2022
