National Tree Day 2023

New trees will be planted out across two Toowoomba Region parks on Saturday 7 October, as part of an initiative to increase the region’s urban forest population. This event is in partnership between Toowoomba Regional Council and Planet Ark’s National Tree Day, with Council holding this event later in the year to avoid frost damage to newly planted trees.

Locations:

• Cory Street Park, 60-70 Cory Street, OAKEY
• Highfields Sport and Recreation Park, 220 Barracks Road, HIGHFIELDS

Participants will need to bring their own gloves, trowels and drinking water with them on the day.

The wearing of enclosed shoes, a long-sleeved shirt, long pants, a broad-brimmed hat and sunscreen is highly recommended.
