Wheel Classes:

• Saturday 9:00am – 11:00am

Beginner Wheel Throwing includes:

• Franzesca is the tutor, with over 35 years of experience
• Clay is supplied
• As are any tools needed for the class
• Glazes & two kiln firings of pieces
• Our classes are run in small groups (maximum of 4 Places)       

Beginners Wheel Throwing Classes is about learning and having fun.

You don't need any skills, just willing to have a go to create something you made.

I'll take you through the process and have fun.

Class Schedule: PLEASE READ CAREFULLY

Weeks 1-3 This is 2 hours per week. This is where you learn to wedge, centre and throw. (don’t worry if you haven’t any idea what I’m talking about or if you have never touched clay)

Week 4 This is 2-3 hours, where you can take time to relax and enjoy decorating you little treasures. You’ll possibly make 12-15 pieces, so you’ll only decorate 12 pieces.

Week 5 This is where you get to participate in unloading, waxing and glazing your pots. Then reload them into the kiln.

So, you get to have the experience of what the process is from the clay to the finished pot.

The 5-week classes run this period, sometimes it could go over a week, usually due to bad weather for bisque firing your creations in the kiln.

After bisque firing, you will then glaze your works in your final class.

Your tutor will then glaze fire your works. Please allow roughly two weeks for this to be completed. You will be notified when your pieces are available for collection at Wild Woman Designs: Open Saturdays 10:00am – 3:00pm.

What you need to bring:

Bring a large towel 

Bring a water bottle

Enclosed shoes are a must

Jewellery is best to take it off e.g. rings, watches and bangles/ best leave them in your bag or car

Access:

Your classes will be held at Wild Woman Designs Studio, 8588 New England Hwy. Hampton.

The Studio is down the driveway from the carpark.

The entrance to our 5 carpark spaces, which is on the West side of the Highway at 8588 New England Hwy. Hampton.
All pottery classes offered are intended for adults.
Fees

• Class Fee must be paid in full before starting your class. This secures your enrolment.

Missed Classes

• Always check the dates of the course to assure your availability before enrolment.
• No refunds are given for missed one of the classes for any reason.  

Cancellations

• If you cancel your class enrolment with 1 WEEKS NOTICE or more, you will receive a full refund or transfer for next class.
• If you cancel your class enrolment with LESS THAN  WEEKS NOTICE, a refund will only be granted should Wild Woman Designs be able to fill your class enrolment place, prior to commencement of the class.
• You may request to move your class enrolment to a future term with Wild Woman Designs if 2 WEEKS NOTICE is given. If LESS THAN FOUR WEEKS notice is given, moving to a future enrolment date will only be possible, should Wild Woman Designs be able to fill your class enrolment place, prior to commencement of the class.
• No refund will be granted after the commencement of the class.
• If your class is cancelled by the Wild Woman Designs a full refund will be offered or you can join the following class.

 
Please note
Pottery wheel throwing can be physical activity which requires normal strength. So please be sure it’s for you wheel throwing classes, maybe do the come and have ago first.
 
Your Pottery Pickups
Once the glaze firing is completed and I will text you to let you know they are ready for pick and on what date suits, usually on a weekend, between 10am and 3 pm.

Pots need to be picked up within 4 weeks, if you are unable to pick them up, you can call/text to let me know.
