Jewellery Fabrication Workshop with Silversmith Jemica Ostrofski

Under the expert guidance of Silversmith Jemica Ostrofski from Meekz Contemporary Jewellery, participants will learn to design and fabricate textured jewellery using recycled metals. The workshop will explore fundamental metalsmithing techniques, including mark making with various hammers, letter stamps, number stamps, and other tools. Attendees will have the opportunity to add personal creative touches to their designs while acquiring essential skills.

Workshop Inclusions:

  • Duration: 3 hours of creative instruction

Materials Provided:

  • Sheets of recycled Aluminium, Copper, and Brass
  • Additional recycled metals
  • Findings to complete your jewellery pieces
  • Industrial-strength glue
  • Apron for use during the workshop
  • Gift box or pouch for storing and taking home your creations

What You Will Need:

  • All tools and materials will be provided
  • Any personal jewellery ideas for inspiration (examples will be available)
  • Pen and paper for notes
  • Enclosed shoes
  • Secure clothing (no loose items)
  • Hair ties for long hair

About Our Workshops:

  • Age Requirement: Participants must be 18 years or older. For student workshops, please refer to our Kids Art section.
  • Refreshments: Tea and coffee facilities are available. Participants are welcome to bring their own snacks and drinks. Glass and paper cups are provided; please bring your own wine glasses if preferred.
  • Parking: Street parking is available. Please plan to arrive five minutes before the class starts.
  • Materials: All required materials will be provided.
  • Aprons: Studio aprons are available, but participants may bring their own if preferred. Be aware that professional materials used in the class may cause stains.
  • Booking: Seats are limited, so early booking is recommended to secure your spot.
  • Refund Policy: Classes are non-refundable.
  • Agreement: By attending, you agree not to reproduce or teach the techniques demonstrated for commercial or non-commercial purposes. However, you are free to use the knowledge gained to create products.
